| What does your warranty cover?
The standard warranty for our units is 3 years for the cameras and 2 years for all other parts. We also offer an extended warranty program, which will extend your warranty up to 6 years on cameras and 5 years for all other parts. The extended warranty plans are priced as follows: 1st additional year, $250, 2nd year, $350 and 3rd year $450.
Can multiple Wireless Body Microphones be used with the ID Mobile system?
Yes, there are two audio inputs that can be used with this system in combination with the in vehicle microphone(s). Any time a wireless transmitter is synched up with a base it establishes a new code. If you want multiple body mics then you need to purchase the entire set (base and transmitter).
What format is the video?
We use MPEG 2 compression with an adjustable bit rate of up to 4000kb/sec.
Why use MPEG 2 compression?
MPEG 2 is the video standard, which is set by the National Imagery and Mapping Agency and the Department of Defense. Since MPEG 2 is a lower form of compression which produces a lower rate of predictability and video artifacts. Lower motion rates account for less Real Data Loss, or artificial motion. This rate of compression also allows a high resolution of 720 x 480 pixels.
Can we play back the video file on a commercial PC video player?
Windows Media Player cannot be used, as it does not work well with this type of video because of the high bit rate. It is a player that is designed to play back lower bit rate video such as Internet streaming video.
What is the maximum power off delay?
The Delay turn off time is adjustable in increments of minutes. The max amount of time is 16 and ½ hours. Our factory configuration is set at 12 seconds.
